God Dwells with His People

Exodus 25-27

The tabernacle becomes the starting point for answering the final question of the book of Exodus. The God who saves and speaks, now wants to dwell with his people. But the law just given highlights how sinful the people are. How can a holy God be present with sinful people? The tabernacle teaches us that while God is wholly other than us, he wants a relationship with us and he himself provides the way for us to be present with him. This is fully realized in Christ who is our tabernacle in whom our sins are forgiven and who opens a new and living way to enter the presence of God. We are sent out as little tabernacles to tell others that God wants to have a relationship with you!
