PASTOR
STEVE KIM
Steve
grew up in Northern Virginia and aspired to be a
mechanical engineer when he entered Virginia Tech
in 1989. But before completing his second year,
he felt God’s calling to ministry, a decision
which guided him to attend Biblical Seminary upon
completion of college. As he attended Biblical Seminary
he was able to serve as a youth pastor in a small
church in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. After completing
seminary he became a college pastor at Emmanuel
Church in West Philadelphia and served there for
three years until he met his wife, Sooj on a missions
trip. After their marriage, Steve became the pastor
of the young adult group at Emmanuel church until
he left to plant a church on City Line Avenue. In |
| four
years, they had three precious children –
Josiah, Christian and Abby. Josiah is the pensive
drummer, Christian is the fun-loving wild child,
and Abby is the little princess of the family.
In
his free time, Steve loves to play basketball and
watch movies. His dream would be to travel around
the world enjoying the sights and sounds that each
country has to offer. He and Sooj are both extroverts
who love to socialize and they both love to eat!
When he is not contemplating the wonders of God,
he is often watching sports and likes crime dramas,
but his most time-consuming activity these days
is playing with his boys |
