COMMITTEES
At
City Line Church, we feel it's an important command
to serve God and serve one another. We strongly
believe that every member of the church has been
blessed with unique gifts, interests and talents
from God with the purpose of building His Kingdom
and our hope is that City Line Church will be a
place where folks are passionately involved in serving
together with others in the unique ways in which
they were created to.
So
take a few minutes and look over these descriptions
of some different committees at our church and see
what piques your interest. If anything strikes you
as something you could see yourself doing, let the
contact person know so that we can get you together
with others who may share your passions and interests.
We would love to get you involved in what you were
designed to do.
Fellowship
The
Fellowship team desires to connect individuals to
City Line community. We organize various events
and activities to enhance our fellowship time. We
are also responsible for weekly fellowship food
after the worship service.
Missions
We
are in the process of developing relationships with
missionaries overseas. We are hoping to partner
with many missionaries in the future to advance
the gospel.
Multimedia
The
multimedia team is committed to reaching people
through the use of various types of media. The team
hopes to provide an inspirational experience through
out our service by visually guiding our congregation.
The multimedia team is also devoted to reaching
the lives of others through the use of the worldwide
web and our website.
Outreach
Testifying
to the world…
Matthew
28:18-20
The
purpose of the Outreach team is to take the word
and deed Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the walls
of “church” to meet people where they
are. Both individually and in community we seek
to make God known by:
-
Loving Specifically,
- Acting Immediately, and
- Visioning Globally.
Praise
The
praise team is committed to bringing passionate,
vibrant times of worship to our church. The team
hopes to create an environment where God is truly
worshipped both in spirit and in truth and an environment
where His name alone shall be glorified. Through
the discipleship and training of worship leaders
the team also hopes to establish a group of men
and women who will lead our church into such times
and environments.
Prayer
Prayer
team is committed to interceding for the body of
Christ. We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings at
8pm.
Welcome
We
recognize that the most lasting impression a visitor
gets of City Line Church is often established by
the welcome he or she receives. So, by welcoming
visitors before and after the service, we hope that
they will feel welcomed and encouraged to join us
again for worship, instead of feeling awkward or
ignored.
The
Welcome team meets prior to service each Sunday
to pray, and work behind the scenes to get things
ready for service – this includes putting
up and taking down posters and signs, and preparing
the coffee table for fellowship. During the week,
we continue our welcoming efforts by connecting
our visitors with one of the members of our church
body. And periodically, we host welcoming dinners
for our newcomers, which gives us additional opportunities
to connect with newcomers on a more personal and
intimate level. To this end, we are committed to
making sure that all visitors feel welcomed at City
Line Church.
Whether
you are visiting us for the first time or have been
with us for a while, it is our mission to ensure
that you feel at home.
